AGARTALA, Feb 14 (TIWN): With shocking revelation, invitation card for a book inauguration has addressed Tripura BJP General Secretary Pratima Bhomwik as ‘social worker’ naming her as ‘Agni-Kanya’.

The programme will be launched at Agartala Press Club on 14th February by ‘Barnamala Prakashani’. 

In book-fair relation publication programme, ‘Barnamala Prakashani’ has not only invited a BJP leader in the programme but also honoured her with her party propganagda name “Agni-Kanya” (daughter of Sun) which has raised laughter.

The “Agni-Kanya” name of her came earlier in social media funs, when netizens called her claim of being ‘Agni-Kanya’ “The Accidental Agni Kanya”.

Pratima Bhowmik is the most controversial character in Biplab Deb led Tripura BJP who often rushes to Govt programmes and rides helicopter with Chief Minister in maximum programmes which under administrative rule she doesn’t deserve.

She also often holds meetings in DM offices and orders DM what to do with her “Agni-Kanya” social worker status.

Recently, BJP MLA Surajit Datta has slammed her and her team for involving in narcotic business and extortion. Her special partner in phensedyl and ganja smuggling is none other than Tapas Ghosh, a sweet shop keeper made huge money in BJP era. Also Tapas Ghosh was facilitated with huge projects under NE Youth Festival without tender, the youth festival turned a corruption den and came in media limelight.

Pratima Bhowmik’s brother Biswajit Bhowmik who allegedly killed his wife along with her elder sister Pratima Bhowmik is controlling Sonamura’s narcotic den.

However, giving status to Pratima Bhowmik with designation of “Agni Kanya” is the latest joke in Tripura politics.
