AGARTALA, Feb 11 (TIWN): Case registered in local police station of Khowai No-9 ward against BJP mandal leader Kanai Shukla Das and his family.

Complaint was lodged that out of husband and his family led brutal tortures, Mina Shukla Das who is also the councilor of the local ward had committed suicide.

She was often brutally tortured and beaten by her husband and in-laws seeking dowry from her father, such has been alleged by the victim family.

On 7^th February out of frustration, Mina Shukla Das jumped under train and died.

After three days of the incident Mina Shukla Das’s family members filed a complaint in local police station but on Sunday police registered the complaint.

Family members and locals have demanded proper investigation in that case.
