AGARTALA, Feb 7 (TIWN): After an accident yesterday at Secretariat which was due to Minister’s driver’s rash driving, , now under Tripura Tribal-Welfare-Dept Minister Mebar Jamatia’s instruction, Tripura Police has suspended a traffic man (constable) Prasenjit Datta with an immediate effect.

It raised eyebrows against Police authorities action as a poor Traffic Constable was made scapegoat rather than punishing Minister’s driver.

But what surprises is that the Minister was not even seriously injured but ventured his anger as a quick action, whereas is however ‘nothing’ wrong, but exactly before 30 days, Tripura police illegally shot 6 youths of Tiprasa people without any pre-warning. The youths were innocent and just were protesting in democratic manner.

But after a month of the brutal police shooting incident against 6 Tiprasa youths,  BJP-IPFT Govt hasn’t taken any action against police SP Ajit Pratap Singh, neither the IPFT Minister Mebar demanded action against police, but when the Minister faced an accident immediate action came.

Many accidents take place across the state everyday, but do the Ministers worry to suspend the lower rank police officials but as this time, the person who is in power faced the trouble, so action took place within 24 hours.
