New Delhi / Agartala, Feb 7 (TIWN): The parliamentarians from northeastern states protested against the Citizenship Amendment Bill that seeks to provide citizenship to non-Muslim refugees from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The protest was staged in the Parliament premise, at the Gandhi statue zone.
Except BJP all MPs participated in that agitation. MP Jitendra Choudhury was present during the agitation at there.
MP Jitendra Chaudhury while addressing media said, this bill not only unconstitutional but if implemented, Northeast demography will be heavily affected.
