SC orders 'scrutiny' of Biplab Deb’s Indian citizenship-validity

AGARTALA, Feb 5 (TIWN): Supreme Court Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi has ordered for scrutiny of Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s citizenship-validity.
This order came after a writ-petition was filed by Tripura Royal scion Pradyot Manikya.
At the same time, the Supreme Court has ordered that other people leading constitutional posts will also come under this scrutiny.
At the same time, challenge was given by the petitioner against the ongoing controversial Citizenship Bill.
Earlier also many controversies had erupted in Tripura centering Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s originality. Another BJP MLA Krishnadhan Das’s citizenship and degrees are under cloud.
