AGARTALA, Feb 4 (TIWN): BJP led State Govt will introduce meter-system in autos to mitigate the everyday verbal clashes between passengers and auto drivers.
This initiative was taken as till now the passenger harassment by auto drivers could not be stopped even after fixing fares.
This was announced by Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on the occasion of 30th Road Safety Week inauguration.
“Govt has already preparing the process to launch meter auto system. In all big cities meter system is there, but Tripura has no such facility yet. We believe it would decrease the everyday tensions and fights between passengers and auto drivers centering fares”, said Biplab Deb while addressing at Astabal Stadium.
He also said, bus services in the towns to be launched so that in low fare people can travel to their destinations.
