New Delhi / Agartala, Jan 30 (TIWN): : It is welcome news that state-controlled oil marketing companies slashed retail petrol and diesel on Tuesday.

After today's price revision, petrol became cheaper by 8-9 paise across major cities of the country while diesel became cheaper by 11 paise per litre. In the national capital Delhi, petrol is sold at Rs 71.19 as against Rs 71.27 yesterday and diesel is retailing at Rs 65.89 as compared to Rs 66 on Monday.

In Tripura petrol price is 78.18 rupees and diesel price is 67.35 today.
