ADC renamed as Territorial Council

AGARTALA, Jan 24 (TIWN): Converting Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) also known as ADC, BJP led State Govt has announced it as Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous Territorial Council (TTATC).
Law Minister Ratan lal Nath said that as 8 districts are there, so ADC can not be called a District Council, rather it should be a Territorial council.
The Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council is an independent council administering the tribal-dominated areas of the state of Tripura, India. Its council and assembly are situated in Khumulwng, a town 26 km away from Agartala, the state capital. However, from now, it will be known as Tribal Areas Autonomous Territorial Council (TTATC).
