AGARTALA, Jan 23 (TIWN): Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), has launched a massive cleanliness campaign in its all work centres under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Tripura, the largest sanitation initiative, taken up by the Government of India.
ONGC authority informed media, “Chief Minister Biplab Deb has sought 80 crores aids from Govt of India and out of that amount 25 crores will be given by ONGC. Total 20 crores have already given by ONGC and rest 5 crores will be given within April month. Total number of toilets will be brought under ONGC’s project is 20,833”.
In order to create awareness, ONGC, in its work centres across the country has organized various programmes including Walkathons, slogan writing, press conference etc. to highlight the importance of cleanliness towards improving overall health and environment.
