AGARTALA, Jan 8 (TIWN): Health Minister Sudip Braman has rushed to GB hospital, met the injured youths of IPFT (Tipraha) who were injured in police firing at Jirania on Tuesday during an agitation against proposed Citizenship Bill (Amendment) 2016.

Tension fueling across the state and Section 144 has been imposed in sensitive areas.

MLA Sushanta Choudhury also made visit along with Sudip Barman, whereas INPT leaders, IPFT Minister Mebar Jamatia also visited at GB hospital, who were referred at there.

The firing was done allegedly without prior warning or firing on air, left 6 injured and 2 serious.

Govt has also suspended mobile internet and sms-service for next 48 hours.
