AGARTALA, Jan 8 (TIWN): CPI-M called 2 days long strike has paralyzed capital city Agartala.
Almost all the shops remained closed, whereas vehicle movements were heavily halted.
Autos, buses remained off, but ruling BJP activists allegedly has started threating shop keepers compelling to open shops.
So far (till 9.45 am) the city remained paralyzed, but Govt employees are the biggest victims as BJP led State Govt has warned them not to skip the strike at any means or action will be taken.
With 12 points of demands and protesting against Modi Govt’s capitalism-interest policy, unemployment CPI-M and other leftist organizations have called for strike.
Tripura’s regional party IPFT (Tipraha) has also supported the strike.
