AGARTALA, Jan 6 (TIWN): One day after BJP President Amit Shah visited Tripura and claimed that 10323 terminated teachers have been saved by BJP Govt, the 10323 teachers have announced protest against BJP Govt’s silence on the actual promise fulfilling which they laid in Vision Document.
On 11th January the 10323 teachers will organize ‘Mahakaran Abhiyan’ and to place deputation to Chief Minister Biplab Deb and Education Minister Ratanlal Nath with 5 points of demands.
The teachers also said, the Supreme Court’s verdict of terminated teachers’ job extension for 17 months was not for them, but in favour of Tripura Govt it was done.
The teachers also warned BJP Govt saying, “If you are with us, we will be with you. If you are not with us, we will not be with you”.
10323 teachers were terminated by High Court, Supreme Court due to irregularities in their recruitment under previous CPI-M Govt’s time, but BJP ahead of election promised the teachers that if BJP is voted to power, then the teachers problems will be sorted out forever, but now with no development about their future yet, the teachers have announced protest.
Recently Supreme Court on Govt’s appeal, extended those teachers jobs for 17 months as Tripura schools are suffering from teachers’ crisis.
