AGARTALA, Dec 22 (TIWN): Reacting over the ongoing criticism on NCERT syllabus implementation, Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said that school principals, teachers and at the guardian level NCERT syllabus has been accepted with full enthusiasm.
Addressing media, after a meeting was held with school headmasters in the SCERT office, Ratanlal Nath said, “The present Govt wants to develop the education system and to change the curriculum. Already 25 states are carrying this curriculum and implementation of it in Tripura will help students here to compete at the national level”.
“Already Tripura is lagging behind than the main stream due to delay in launching NCERT syllabus. The previous Govt didn’t do it. Thus, without delaying anymore, we wanted to launch it as soon as possible”, he added.
“From January this curriculum will be launched and we have received tremendous supports from the schools. Many schools even without funding, already bought books, which is beyond expectation”, Ratanlal Nath claimed.
