AGARTALA, Nov 7 (TIWN): Even though minimum wage of MGNREGA was declared at Rs. 340 before Election and BJP Govt failed to fulfill that promise, but Chief Minister Biplab Deb said MGNREGA works wages (now Rs. 170) will be given to people but only after proper measurement of the work i.e. on the basis of his / her performance.
In CPI-M Govt's time many poor, old people, suffering from various diseases were given MGNREGA works even though many people couldn't work properly, but the previous Govt managed funds from centre and allocated mandays for them, but the present BJP Govt instead of increasing wage, has stopped MGNREGA works and only physically fit and those who can work they will be given MGNREGA work.
After announcing that CM added in totally capitalistic style said, "Am I doing this for me ? Is Modi doing this for himself ? No, but for development Govt is doing it, so that the project may go fast".
