AGARTALA, Sep 24 (TIWN): Tripura has become the corridor of arms smuggling under Biplab Deb's era.From Bihar and Assam arms are smuggled to Bangladesh via Tripura.

Getting informed via secret sources, SDPO of Sabroom Sabyasachi Datta raided a vehicle numbered : TR01XO470 and arrested two people along with bullets and pistol. Another auto driver was also arrested and both of them from Bihar Bhagalpur purchased the arms and brought in Tripura using Tripura Sundari Express. 

Out of three arrested persons, two belong to BJP, a local TV channel Din-Rat has claimed.

The arrested persons are : 1) Dipankar Sen, S/O-Lt Nripendra Sen, 2) Samrat Sarkar, S/O-Natu Sarkar, 3) Renga Mog, S/O-Rafruchai Mog.
