AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): The Centre had recently increased the remuneration of anganwadi workers from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,500 per month. Mini anganwadi workers’ pay had been hiked from Rs 2,250 to Rs 3,500 and anganwadi helpers’ remuneration from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,250 per month.
A massive rally was conducted by Asha and Anganwadi employees at Agartala today greeting the BJP led Central Govt.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Modi has approved a hike in the wages of anganwadi workers, helpers and Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers, linking performance-based incentives to the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme.
