AGARTALA, Sep 20 (TIWN): Raising fingers at IPFT party, CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar on Santanu Bhoumik’s first death anniversary said, “Santanu was killed by separatist power of the state when he (Santanu) went to collected news at Mandai in last year in this same dayâ€.
Also hitting IPFT’s ally ruling BJP, Pabitra Kar said, in last 6 months 20 to 25 journalists were attacked in various places.
“Observing death anniversary of Santanu Bhoumik will be succeeded if such attacking incidents don’t happen with any journalists in future”, Pabitra Kar told media.
“To raise voice for the common men, to reveal faults of ruling govt are very important jobs by journalists but today attacks on journalists have increased across the country. No Editor is attacked, but the employees of offices are the victims”, Pabitra Kar told media.
“We were hoping that the justice will be done soon, but the new Govt has handedover the case to CBI and now CBI is doing nothing and no development has come in this case. Tripura experienced four CBI investigations but no justice was received after CBI investigation, rather CBI poured cold water in investigations”, Pabitra Kar told media.
