AGARTALA, Sep 13 (TIWN): CPI-M MLAs have demanded, urged election commission to re-schedule the whole nomination procedure for by-election as maximum opposition leaders failed to submit nominations due to poll rigging sponsored by ruling BJP.
In a press conference held by MLA, Badal Choudhury, MLA Tapan chakraborty, Ex-CM MLA Manik Sarkar the party has raised the demand.
Manik Sarkar said, “It is no way possible that the govt doesn’t know anything about the ongoing violence. All have been exposed. Even after CPI-M urged the state govt, CEO no development in the law and order came, rather people have seen how they attacked their own ally IPFT and other oppositions.
“Since the beginning we are requesting the govt to stop attacks upon CPI-M but it’s acting like deaf and blind. When we urged state election commission, it was said that it’s not empowered like central election commission, which is however true”, Sarkar said.
“The Govt doesn’t know something, which is actually happening in state it’s never possible. If it doesn’t know then it must learn from papers and electronic media what is happening”, added Sarkar.
