AGARTALA, Sep 12 (TIWN): Agartala Press club got new members without any contest. On Wednesday RO-Sudipta Kar and RO-Arabinda Deb have announced the names.

The new members are : 

1) Subal Dey (President),

2) Biswendu Bhattacharjee (Vice President),

3) Pranab Sarkar (Secretary),

4) Dipanta Majumder (Asst Secretary),

5) Kamal Kalai (Ass Secretary),

6) Tapan Majumder (Treasurer),

The election was to be held on Sep 16, but as no contestant submitted nominations, so the candidates were elected of their respective posts. 

Many senior Journalists alleged that Biplab Deb aligned Journalist group threatened others so that no contest was held.
