AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): One day after taking charge as Tripura Governor, Kaptan Singh Solanki has visited Udaipur Matabari with his family members.
At around 12.30 pm the Governor had arrived at Matabari. DM Gomati Tarun kanti Debnath accompanied the Governor during his visit.
Along with Govt officials, BJP leaders were also present at Matabari.
While addressing media, Solanki said, "Tripura Sundari temple is widely popular outside Tripura. Before starting my journey as the Governor, I have come to pray to to the Goddess. Her blessings may help me to accomplish my duty as Governor successfully".
Kaptan Singh Solanki is now the Governor of Tripura has taken oath on yesterday.
Solanki is an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He studied at Vikram University Ujjain, P.G.B.T. College, Ujjain and Maharani Luxmibai College, Jiwaji University Gwalior. He served as teacher during 1958–1965 period and as Professor at P.G.V. College Gwalior from 1966–2000.
He was earlier appointed the Governor of Haryana to replace. Kaptan Singh Solanki has been married to Shrimati Rani Solanki since 1959, and has two daughters and three sons with her.
