Agartala, Sep 15 (TIWN): Frequent transfer of teachers caused dismay in various government run schools. Education system in the schools is deteriorating day by day and students have been deprived of quality education.

Owing to lack of transfer policy in School Education Department, a section of teachers have been working in Agartala since years. On the contrary, another section has been working in remote area schools since years sparking resentment among the teaching section.

The School Education department transferred a number of Science teachers recently in September, who were working in different schools of Agartala sparking resentment among the teachers. Those teachers had been transferred to Agartala only 3 to 4 years back and were enjoying home facility, said sources. The teachers again have been transferred to remote area schools as a consequence of which a kind of laxity could be noticed in their duty casting an affect on the education of students. Most of the teachers have lost their faith on HGB Teachers’ Association.

At the time when the teachers of the state are deprived of Central pay scale and allowances, frequent transfer of teachers have cast a negative impact on the studies of students. Quality education is nothing but a day dream in the government run schools.
