UDAIPUR / MELAGHAR, July 14 (TIWN): auspicious Hindu festival Ratha-Yatara has been celebrated here in Tripura in grand manner.

At Melaghar like every year this year also the festival was celebrated amid cheers and enthusiasm. Indeed the main Ratha Yatra celebration is held in Melaghar every year.

 On Saturday the Ratha-Yatra at Udaipur started from 4 pm led by Minister Pranajit Singha Roy and his wife.

In comparison with other years, this year the programme was  conducted more grandly as the local MLA cum Minister Pranajit Singha Roy has instructed.

From Jagannath Bari the Ratha (Chariot) started its journey whereas at Mahadeb Bari the journey ended and after 7 days once again the Ratha will return to Jagannath Bari.
