AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Sunday has praised PM Modi’s Agricultural Policies saying, BJP led Central and State Govt’s are working in direction of "doubling" farmers incomes.
Addressing in a press meet, Chief Minister Biplab Deb said, “PM Modi’s policy of doubling farmers income by 2022 has already 50 % completed and more 150 % will be done and within 2022 the whole project will be completed, implemented”.
“To increase the income the expenditure has to be decreased. The previous Govt tried to increase the purchasing price but it never tried to lessen then cost during production and that’s why soil health card was introduced”, CM told media.
“Urea coated with neem system is itself a historical decision which helped to overcome corruptions”, CM said.
CM also praised his Agriculture Minister Pranajit Singha Roy for spot-visiting and identifying which soil will produce what.
Biplab Deb further mentioned that everything is going on "scientifically" in India under Modi Govt with proper planning.
Scientific agriculture was never utilized before the Modi Govt, claimed CM.
Chief Minister further informed that there has been a huge increase in sugar production allover India.
