AGARTALA, June 18 (TIWN): 2 persons have been arrested by Airport Police on Monday in connection with firing incident which led 1 person critically injured at Chandrapur, admitted at GB hospital. One of the accused is now being interrogated by East Agartala police, whereas another is under NCC Police. Two arrested persons were identified as Ramu Ghosh (38) of Aralia’s Netaji Palli and Bijju Ray of Khejur Bagan under NCC police station. Within 24 hours of the incident police have arrested the accused, whereas eye witnesses said total 3 persons were involved in that firing incident.A shooting incident on Sunday has hit capital city Agartala with one 33 years person left seriously injured at GB hospital. The incident took place at Chandrapur at around 1.15 pm.
Huge numbers of police have been rushed to Chandrapur and inspecting the incident.Talking to TIWN locals said, they do not know anything about the miscreants but informed that 2 persons came in bike and 2 were standing on road side. The bikers came and with few second’s argument they left the spot. Whereas the person standing with Debabrata (Debu) also went with them in bike or escaped nobody could see as all had to run from the spot to save own lives from the killer gun.
After one firing, the miscreants tried to do another set of firing but in the mean time all escaped from the spot. Questions are raising, how guns have become available in the state as earlier (ahead of election) at Bishalgarh firing incidents took place by unknown miscreants ?
Huge amounts of cashes have been recovered from Debabrata’s pockets. Today police have arrested two persons and investigation has been started.
