AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): Aimed to design green Tripura, a tree plantation drive was conducted by 21 Assam Rifles on Monday, ahead of World Environment Day.
The Assam Rifles facilitated tree plantation drive in run upto World Environment Day at Don Bosco Public school, Mandai, an official source said.
A total of 263 students and teachers participated in the tree plantation drive with enthusiasm & zeal.
An informative lecture to ‘Protect Environment for our Future Generation’ was also conducted during the event. The commitment of Assam Rifles was appreciated by one & all.
World Environment Day occurs on the 5th of June every year, and is the United Nation's principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
