SONAMURA, June 3 (TIWN): Sepahijala District level book fair which started from May 30 at Sonamura has been ended today.
The closing ceremony has been attended by Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma.
While addressing on that occasion, Deputy Chief Minister said, “In today’s time we have Internet and E-Books but it is also necessary to develop the habit of reading books among the future generation. Internet may be easy to access but internet gives only data, but books give us knowledge”.
“Book can be called the soul of society. Only because book is there, so people know about Rabindranath Tagore, Nazrul Islam, Sharat Chandra. So my message will read books, make others to read books”, Jishnu Debbarma added,
“Reading should be adopted as habit. Once you start practice of reading, you will start loving it. It has been said that practice increases the power inside a man”, the Deputy CM said.
