BELONIA, May 25 (TIWN): In a major clash among the ruling BJP and opposition CPI-M many party activists were injured at Belonia under South Tripura on Friday left 2 top party leaders of CPI-M heavily injured.
According to the last information, in the morning a clash was emerged among BJP and CPI-M which left two top leaders of CPI-M Tilokesh Sinha, MLA Sudha Das injured.
CPI-M alleged, 'stone pelting' by the BJP activists during a rally.
CPI-M also alleged that it was an attack, without any involvement of CPI-M in that clash.
The BJP activists allegedly threw bricks and stones when CPI-M leaders and activists led by MLA Sudhan Das were going to place a deputation to SDM Belonia over the recent demolition of CPI-M party offices and other local issues .
In this attack, 10 CPI-M workers were seriously injured, said CPI-M. However, any BJP activist was injured or not, it has not been known yet.
MP Jiten Chowdhury said, "BJP is trying to increase its political clout through such violence. Now they have resorted to this type of terror tactics. I urge the people to strongly oppose these heinous attempts and strengthen political ideological struggle against BJP's communal politics and anti-people policies.
