Biplab Deb said this on Thursday while addressing in Ambedkar Rural Fair’s inauguration programme at the Hapania.
He said, “Maitri Bridge over river Feni to be completed by March 2019, opening the gateway of Southeast Asia for the Northeast”.
“I have talked to the NHIDCL. The inauguration of the Matri bridge which is schedule to be completed by 2019’s December, will be completed by March, so that it ease the business”, Biplab Deb said.
“Tripura is suffering from commodity prices. Each item’s price is 3 times more than the actual price and this is happening because of the transportation”, he said.
“As soon as the port ways to be opened, there will be no poor in Tripura and Northeastern states to export their products via Tripura. In this way, Tripura to become a business-hub”, CM added.
