Drive against Polythene was done without any meeting : Protest by businessmen led Officials to return

AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): Friday’s drive of the Pollution Control Board in Agartala Gol Bazar was done suddenly and without a single meeting or warning.
Following the drive the businessmen of Gol Bazar had come in protest led the officials to ‘go back’. But already many shop-keepers were fined by the govt officials.
The special drive was launched today at Agartala Gol Bazar area led by Pollution Control Board, West PS and West Dist administration.
From maximum shops polythene were seized by police, whereas most of the shop-keepers till day didn’t feel it as a crime to use polythene bags.
Generally before such a drive warnings are given and meetings are held, but the whole action was followed without following any step.
