AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): Once again Tripura CM is under storms of controversy after he said Rabindranath Tagore had given up his Nobel prize to protest against British.
CM did the mistake on Rabindra Jayanti, while he was addressing at Udaipur Old Royal Palace on yesterday.
He said, "Tagore returned his Nobel award in protest against the British”, whereas in reality Tagore had given up Knighthood in protest against the Jalianwalla Bagh massacre.
Opposition CPI-M has kicked off the storms of controversy after releasing the video in social media.
This controversial speech is in now limelight after CM held many more controversies from "Internet in Mahabharata’s time" to “Chopping off nails of the critics”, starting from April 17.
