AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): Central CPI-M today has opposed the party offices bulldozing in Tripura, which were built over Govt lands.

In a tweet, the Central CPI-M said, “BJP - IPFT Government demolished CPI(M) Party Office and CITU and other Mass organisations office at Motor Stand and GB Bazar area by deploying bulldozers from early dawn on Monday and Tuesday. Both the areas were cordoned by Para Military and Police forces so that no one can enter the areas. Later the party leaders visited both the sites including Comrade Manik Sarkar and condemned the way these demolition we're carried on”.

The party offices of Tripura were bulldozed after serving notices to the offices. At Motor Stand and GB Bazar area the bulldozing were conducted led by West DM Millind Ramteke.

In the party offices across Tripura where the party office was shifted, have not been bulldozed by the Govt.

The bulldozing drive had started on May 7 in Tripura and before that via press conferences and notices the parties were alerted.
