Kamalpur, May 2 (TIWN) : With an aim to strengthen the peasants community and to boost up the rural economy the Kisan Sammelan as a part of the Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan was held at the Nazrul Bhavan at Kamalpur here today.

In that seminar resource persons from different departments attented the seminar which was inaugurated by the MLA Asis Das. Almost three hundred farmers from different parts of the subdivision took part. The resource persons from Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Resource Development, Fishery and Sericulture departments discussed about the potential,  possibility and problems of compact agriculture. They also made the farmers aware of the facilities availability for the peasants. They also discussed about the methods to overcome the problems. 

The peasants found it beneficial and demanded that such seminars should be arranged more.
