AGARTALA, May 2 (TIWN): Union Minister of State for 'Power and Renewable energy', R.K.Singh has asked Tripura Power Dept to complete the target of connectivity expansion in due time. The Minister also asked the Power dept officials to calculate how many days are in a year and how many days they will take to complete the project. The Minister was addressing at Prgana Bhawan on the launching programme of Saubhagya Scheme in Tripura. Addressing at Pragna Bhawan, Singh said, “Our approach will not to keep any place uncover, but our aims should be to cover up all areas within the shortest period of time. State and Centre should work cooperatively always and if the vision is clear then nobody can stop the targets to be fulfilledâ€. The Minister also named J&K, Uttarakhand like states where power reached each places amid tough geographical locations.
R K Singh also stressed upon the quality of power connectivity and asked the govt to make sure that there should be no power disruptions.
Tripura Deputy Chief Minister cum Power Minister Jishnu Debbarma on that occasion said that this project is an example of Modi Govt’s Sab-ka-Sath, Sab-ka-Bikas policy.
“I was overwhelmed to see the happiness of the people who never imagined that they will get powers in their houses in this manner. Earlier they were only the consumers who were felicitated with power. But now things have been changed. Our Prime Minister has actualized the dreams of poor people and the power corporation is now in front of each door”, Debbarma said.
“The Saubhagya Scheme is revolutionary step which has connected power to all houses of the country”, the Deputy CM added.
