AGARTALA, March 30 (TIWN): At least 10 degree colleges from 2007 to 2017 under CPI-M Govt were introduced in Tripura, but the empty buildings left without any Quality education inside them.
When 700 NET, SLET, P.hD holders are in state, trying to sit in Asst Prof recruitment exam, Tripura Govt has been running the colleges with guest-lecturers.
It has been disclosed that after 2007 no vacant post was created in Colleges, whereas from 2007 till 2017 the number of Colleges increased from 12 to 22.
According to UGC rule, class rooms should have teachers-students ratio as 1 : 30, whereas presently in Tripura the ratio stands 1 : 99, but the previous govt didn't appoint a single Asst Professor since 11 years.
After 2007 no vacant post was created. Surprisingly, on that time the number of Colleges were 12. In 12 Colleges the 661 vacant posts were necessary, but right now the number should be double at least, whereas the Asst Professors are 475 right now.
