AGARTALA, March 28 (TIWN): Director of Horticulture and other officials in the presence of Scientist Dr. Rajib Ghosh have visited Darchawi, Chinibagan, Deorachara, Nalkata, in attempt to promote Tripura pineapple (both knew and Queen variety) aiming to export to South East Asian countries and middle east as well as in future.

The officials also conducted sensitization programme with pineapple growers for upliftment of socio-economic status of the farmers.

They also visited to find out suitable research centre "centre of excellence for vegetable and horticulture crops", Govt of India.

That centre can be any of Dhalai, Unakoti and North Tripura.
