AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): Tripura Ex-CM Manik Sarkar while addressing in the Assembly said, due to a same govt’s presence in state and centre currently there shouldn’t be any fund issue anymore with central govt.
“It’s very true in a state like Tripura, without centre’s help the development is not possible. Tripura’s economic condition is very poor and in this condition if there is a contrary among the state and central govt, it’s really a tough situation to take the state towards development”, Sarkar said.
“Without centtre’s help, even if you have mentality to work for people, you can’t. But I think now there wouldn’t be any issue as both state and central govts are same. Both the govts’ political views are also same”, he added.
“What Governor said in his speech on March 23rd, I thank him for that. Via Governor’s speech the next 5 year’s plan of the state govt is understandable. But it’s not a 1 year budget. After few days a budget will be placed in the Assembly and till then we have to wait”, said Sarkar.
