AGARTALA, March 25 (TIWN): Clarifying the ongoing rumour-intrigue against the two assaulted women, with a major section of society at Bishalagarh trying to highlight that the two women were beaten after they slapped a man, Tripura Women Commission Chief Manika Datta Roy said, "If a man forcefully hold someone's hand, how should be he treated ?"
"Both the women are Titu Sarkar and Mithu Sarkar are residents of Agartala but one is married at Assam and another at Agartala. Both of them came to their father's house for vacation. One of the sisters loves paan and she went at Tapan saha's shop, but when Tapan Saha was giving the paan to her, he hold her hand and she slapped him, which is natural", Manika Datta Roy told TIWN.
After that incident when the girls left the shop he followed them and around after 2 minutes the attack took place.
Noteworthy, these two women in Tripura were beaten, assaulted Friday in Bishalgarh market. Accused Tapan Saha will be produced before the court on Monday, but at least 6 to 7 people were involved in the brutal attack against Titu Sarkar and Mithu Sarkar including a woman.
