AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN): With a good news for Northeast, Natural gas was discovered under Khowai rocks today, at the Northwestern side of Tripura.

The place has been identified as Laban Chara of Tulashikhar block under Khowai.

Local people were first to discover that in a stream also  fire is sparking and also smells of gas were felt. 

Getting informed, local authorities rushed to the spot led by DM Sandeep Mahatme and later ONGC officials also visited the spot. 

Natural gas resources have been confirmed after experts examined the spot,
