AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): Tripura Working Journalist’s Association (TWJA) members have condemned the attack upon Udaipur Municipal Chairman Subrata Deb by miscreants today. Chairman Subrata Deb is also a senior journalist of state Tripura.

Today at Udaipur Municipal Corporation Office when Subrata Deb was working, suddenly few miscreants came and attacked him verbally with slang words and asked him to go back home.

Subrata Deb after the incident returned home. In the afternoon an FIR was also lodged in the Radha Kishore Pur Police Station.

TWJA have demanded Minister Pranajit Singha Roy’s intervention into the matter. At the same time immediate action of police was demanded.

Recently few journalists have also been attacked across state and TWJA has condemned those incidents too.
