AGARTALA, March 16 (TIWN): Public came in mass agitation today at Agartala with the ongoing medical scams in a Govt Homeopathic Centre.
The Homeopathic centre under AMC Ward No. 35 was allegedly providing expired medicines to the people, but due to the arrogance of the govt officer at there, public couldn't receive better medical service from there.
After the CPI-M Govt has expired for 5 years following the Assembly Poll defeat, locals have exposed the scam before media.
Addressing media a local said, "80 % of medicines here are expired, but patients are provided with those expired dated medicines. As a results the patients are not benefited out of those medicines and at the same time, there are high chances of reaction".
"Secondly in the racks, all expired medicines have been set since 3 to 4 years. New medicines are not coming and it's also possible that new medicines are coming but sold outside. Even doctors have alleged that the pharmacists Prabir Chakraborty doesn't change the expired medicines even after repeated calls", the local said.
The doctors have alleged that the in-charge never bothered to their requests and after coming he always used to sit idle by opening his internet browser.
