AGARTALA, March 14 (TIWN): Tripura's new pro-tem speaker Ratan Chakraborty has taken oath at Governor House today at 10.30 AM in the presence of Chief Minister Biplab Deb.

Governor Tathagata Roy has administer the oath to the speaker at Raj Bhawan.

Chakraborty would administer the oath to the newly-elected members of the assembly on March 15 and 16.

Ratan Chakraborty MLA of Khayerpur constituency, has won the election by defeating the sitting CPI-M candidate Pabitra Kar.

On March 23, Assembly session will also be started.  This will be the 1st Assembly Session in Tripura after BJP had formed its maiden Govt here.
