CPI-M demands postponing of Charilam Election

AGARTALA, March 8 (TIWN): CPI-M has demanded the rescheduling of Charilam Election which is to be conducted on March 8.
"Today we have complained about the ongoing violence in Tripura to the CEO Sriram Taranikanti. We have also demanded to reschedule the Charilam Election as CPI-M activists are unable to come out of home. Our Charilam candidate Palash Debbarma is now out of Charilam", he said.
CPI-M has also announced total 1704 people have lost their houses and party offices have been burnt, vandalized. Total 193 houses were also burnt.
In protest of the alleged violence, CPI-M has also decided to boycott the searing-in ceremony of the BJP Govt.
