AGARTALA, March 2 (TIWN): Ahead of Tripura election results declaration, the Border Security Force has intensified the patrolling along the 856 km long Indo-Bangladesh border in Tripura to check infiltration into the Indian territory.
"Security has been beefed up in poll-bound areas and BSF strength in Indo-Bangladesh border was increased substantially while counter-insurgency operations were intensified besides enhancement of security in all vital locations", said a BSF Official.
Inside the state, Section 144 to be imposed from today night 12 am.
Tripura election was completed on February 26 with 6 sets of re-pollings and the counting to be conducted by tomorrow.
Central troops are controlling the maximum security issues throughout the hilly state.
