UDAIPUR, Jan 24 (TIWN): Maharani Bazar, located on Udaipur-Amarpur road have been totally burnt in an fire incident of yesterday night.
Around 15 shops were destroyed in the fire and maximum of the shops were gutted by the falmes into ashes.
CPI-M MLA, also the candidate for the election, MLA Madhab Saha rushed to the spot and talked to the local people at there.
Locals have demanded proper Govt compensation for their losses. Each of the shop keepers are facing above lakhs of losses, TIWN reported from Maharani.
At the primary level, it's assumed that the incident took place due to short circuit, but due to election season, tensions have gripped the locals and questions are also raising whether it's an intrigue to destroy the peace at there ahead of poll.
