AGARTALA / BISHALGARH, Jan 21 (TIWN): Even though not even one month has left for Tripura's crucial Assembly Election, total 168 families have joined BJP leaving CPI-M and Congress Party today at Bishalgarh.
Total 570 people of 168 families have joined the party.
Active Congress leaders as Nikhil Chakraborty, Mridul Pal, Nikhil Debnath also joined in BJP. Party President Biplab Deb handed over the party flag to the newly joined BJP members.
BJP Vice President Subal Bhowmik, Yuva Morcha President Tinku Roy other leaders as Ramnarayan Roy, Nitai chowdhury, Anjan Purokayastho remained present.
The BJP President told media, "The joining-crowd is ensuring the defeat of CPI-M in the upcoming election. Amidst fears and violence led by CPI-M, the joining celebration is beyond expectation, which proves that defending the fear people are eagerly calling for a change".
