AGARTALA, Jan 21 (TIWN): The Election Commission is in strict action against the violation of Model Code of Conducts in Tripura by various political parties and since 2 days Agartala's Govt lands are being cleaned from all party flags and banners.
In other subdivisions as Udaipur, Amarpur such attempts are yet to be taken.
As per models of codes and conducts of Election Commission of India, all political party's flags were removed from Govt Offices here.
In a special drive West DM Millind Ramteke, West SP Abhijit Saptarshi the booth offices, party flags, festoons were removed from Agartala's various spots.
Tripura's Assembly Election is on February 18 and the result out is on March 3rd. Since the Election date was announced, the Model Code of Conduct was came into effect.
Election Commission of India's Model Code of Conduct is a set of guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India for conduct of political parties and candidates during elections mainly with respect to speeches, polling day, polling booths, election manifestos, processions and general conduct.
