New Delhi, Aug 8 (TIWN): Raising a question regarding employment generation, Congress MP Randeep Singh Surjewala on Thursday asked the government to give a final clarification on the job creation data as the data has been changing from ministers to ministers and leaders to leaders. Amid the speaker stressing upon what is the actual question of Surjewala, he said, “The Prime Minister initially claimed that 6 crore jobs were created in 7 years on May 20, 2024, but later revised it to over 8 crore jobs in 3 years by July 13. A cabinet minister subsequently stated that 12.5 crore jobs were created in 10 years. Despite these claims, in the Lok Sabha, it was revealed that 22 crore people applied for government jobs, but only 7.22 lakh were hired. Can the ministers clarify the true number of jobs created?”
