NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, Jan 14 (TIWN): Expressing concerns both to the Omicron and Economic crisis probabilities, PM Modi has asked the State Govts to focus on containment zones instead of total blanketed curbs.The PM also reminded how the economy was ruined due to total lockdowns and curbs.“While making any strategy, it is very important to keep in mind that there should be minimal damage to the livelihood of the common people, economic activities, and the momentum of the economy should be maintained," said the PM. “So, it would be better to focus more on local containment," he added. Further, speaking about the new Omicron Covid-19 variant, he said that the initial skepticism about Omicron was slowly getting cleared. “The new strain Omicron is infecting people several times faster than previous ones," said PM Modi.
