Guwahati, May 10 (TIWN) Himanta Biswa Sarma was on Monday sworn-in as the 15th Chief Minister of Assam, a day after he was named as the leader of the newly-elected BJP legislators in the state.

Sarma was the charioteer of Bharatiya Janta Party's stride in the Northeast. He was administerd the oath in presence of state Governor Jagdish Mukhi, the BJP national President JP Nadda and other leaders.
