Kolkata, Dec 21 (TIWN) In a major blow to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress wooed back BJP Lok Sabha MP from Bankura district Soumitra Khan's wife Sujata Mondal Khan to its fold.

Mondal joined the Trinamool Congress on Monday in presence of veteran Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha MP Saugata Roy and the party’s spokesperson Kunal Ghosh.

After joining the TMC, Sujata said, "I belong to the SC community. Everyone knows the oppression that SC women face. However, I worked tirelessly for the people of Bishnupur and won the seat for my husband. Despite this, I did not get my due respect from BJP. However, I don’t have the mentality of deserting my people after winning their trust and love."
